Eight candidates from different parts of Ukhrul district, who contested in the Autonomous District Council elections held recently had been banished from their villages, their names deleted from the citizens' lists of the villages and their properties had been made to cease to exist in the villages according to Tangkhul customary laws and practices by the respective village authorities for defying the Tangkhul Frontal Organisations' (TFOs) call for boycott of the ADC elections.

PUGHOBOTO, JUN 22 (NPN):On the split in the NSCN in 1988, Muivah said in Pughoboto on Monday that there was no difference of opinion on Naga political issue with Khaplang, except on discipline and principle.
